The day began with an introduction about IEEE and its main values and visions. After that being said ,our proposal combines a series of workshops for both soft and hard skills to enable our teachers with the right tools and the right methodology. As a starter,we wanted to make sure that our dear teachers have the right mindset to engage students on the online course.For that case we introduced a new innovative online learning pedagogy.We divided it into three major parts such as before class ,during class and after class.We initiated each part with quotes to broaden their perspective about online learning: this part includes activity handed to the students before class in order to collect infos about the course or express their knowledge about a previous one in an unconventional way, we also gave examples about some students projects where they demonstrated in an artistic way ,simply they sewed half of each parents pants together to explain genetics ,and other students modelised a chlorophyll molecule with chewing gum . However for the During Class:Engaging and Energizing was orientated to implement radical and realisable methods such as rewarde questions where teachers should dedicate a percentage of the mark for participation.
Also we wanted to seize this opportunity to invite guest speakers since experts are one click away.The 2C technique Check-in and Caring also took place in this methodology to show affection and care for our dear students so we don't lose our human connection at the gate of the virtual world. Last but not least,after class:Discussions and Questions ,here we didn't want the relationship teacher-student to be limited by only the online course content ,we wanted to above and beyond, replacing the old and traditional ways with virtual yet effective one like polling, a personalized feedbacks from teachers on students assignments .on another note,we delivered useful way to test students assets by teaching our teachers how to use quizzes Therefore, we were mindful to familiarise our teachers with new technologies .since the number of e learning users increased exponentially , furthermore we focused on the most used platforms and utilities which are google meet microsoft teams and team viewer We listed each platform s caracteristiques and compared them to each other to give our teachers the ability to choose the most suitable for them.these platform might often be seen as obvious skills for the new generations but unfortunately it's not the case for our educators that s why an intensified workshops were held on the 3 platforms where all their frustration and questions were answered A continuous search for new ways to describe effective online teaching led us to design a website for both high and middle school, it's a safe and secure website where teachers can upload their documents for students and also interact with them in cas they have questions about the course As students being the audience ,we wanted to balance the fun of the physical experimentation with an effective alternative like using simulation programs like interactive simulations programs and other video and photo editing one like gimp ,photoshop,photo filtre,Rawtherapy.
