IEEE PELS (IEEE Power Electronics Society)

The Power Electronics Society (PELS) is one of the largest and biggest technical societies of the The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). PELS provides the world’s largest assembly for sharing the latest technological developments in power electronics applications. For over 30 years, PELS has opened the door for discussing projects that lead to the advancement and innovation in power electronics technology. This technology encloses the effective use of electronics components, the application of circuit theory and design technics and the development of analytical tools toward efficient conversion, control, and condition of electric power. The Power Electronics Society is committed to keeping its members around the globe aware on the art technological developments in power electronics research.

The goals of the Power Electronics Society are to boost and strengthen the advance of theory and practice of electrical and electronics engineering and of the allied arts and sciences. Otherwise, the objectives have to be scientific, literary and educational in character. Furthermore, PELS shall promote a high level of technical excellence among its members, also the society shall strive in promoting close cooperation and discussions through meetings and conferences which facilitate the exchange of technical information between its members and affiliates and to this end shall sponsor periodicals and special publications, and through its committees shall study and provide the needs of its members and affiliates.
